Watford Want Arsenal's Lansbury On Loan

Arsenal’s highly promising young midfielder, Henri Lansbury, is wanted as a loan signing by Championship side Watford.

Lansbury, one of Arsene Wenger’s brightest young prospects, made his first-team debut in the Gunners’ 3-0 Carling Cup win over Sheffield United last season.

The Londoner, an England Under-19 international, also came off the bench during the emphatic 6-0 victory over the same opponents in the same competition two weeks ago, after featuring in all of Arsenal’s pre-season friendlies.

However, Wenger could now be prepared to send him out on loan to gain first-team experience.

Watford have asked the Arsenal manager about taking Lansbury to Vicarage Road on loan until the end of December, and Wenger is considering the request.

He is thought to be favourably disposed towards sending the player out on loan to gain some valuable first-team experience, and may conclude that a couple of months in the Championship could benefit his development.
