Arsenal Chase Hoffenheim Star Maicosuel - Report

Premier League giants Arsenal are considering a move for Hoffenheim's Maicosuel, according to The News of the World.

The midfielder has been earning rave reviews in the Bundesliga this term and these have supposedly attracted the attention of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who is reportedly keen to add to his ranks in the January transfer window.

Maicosuel only joined the Sinsheim side last summer, which makes a winter move doubtful.

Hoffenheim paid around €4.5 million to secure the services of the highly-rated midfielder. His current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2014.

It is thought that Maicosuel would have few problems settling into the Arsenal squad as Brazilian compatriot Denilson is a regular member of the first-team at Emirates Stadium.
